Me too.

Maybe I was naive, or maybe I was desperate to feel special. Either way, I bought into the idea that my Father--the King--was not just important. He was the Top Dog. The Head-Dude. The One in Charge of Everything.

He. Was. God.

And while being the Daughter of a King came with a lot of privileges, it also came with a long list of expectations--expectations that would eventually lead to perfection.

And who doesn't want to be perfect?

Early on, I learned that the best way to keep everyone happy was to perform my duties in the best way I knew how without question. And I tried. I really did. But the list of expectations felt overwhelming, and no matter how much I did, it never seemed to be enough.

After years of 'striving' and 'enduring,' I quit feeling like a princess and started feeling like a failure. The more I did to please other people, the more I proved to myself that I'd never measure up.

I would never be perfect.

And that left me with only one conclusion:

I was worthless.

It was during that very dark time of my life that things began to shift.

When I quit trying to be perfect, I got a glimpse of who I was truly meant to be.

Not a princess. Not a daughter of a king. Not even a wife or mother or ministering sister.

It was just me.

I didn't have to follow some arbitrary set of rules made up by men to prove I was enough. I didn't have to do more or try harder.

Whether it was royal blood running through my veins or not, I just had to show up as myself and that was enough.

In fact, it was perfect.

Maybe even better than perfect.

And that's when I knew the truth...

We live in a society that values what can be seen on the outside over who we are on the inside.

As a member of the church, you were given a predetermined set of values to make you look righteous on the outside--but may not have been aligned with who you are on the inside. It was the facade of a 'princess.'

Since walking away, you have a rare opportunity--the opportunity to shed the identity that was forced on you by an institution--to uncover who you are at your core.

That's where the perfect part of you lives. And it's who you were always meant to be.

You may not be familiar with her, but I promise you...she's there. And if you don't get to know her, you may spend your entire life trying to live up to the expectations of other people, instead of leaning into the beauty and power that is tucked deep inside.

Starting right now...

You get to choose who you want to be!

It's entirely up to you!

The blood running through your veins may or may not be royal. It really doesn't matter. What matters is knowing who you are at your core so you can create your life from a place of authenticity, self-acceptance, and love.

So grab your crown...

(or your golden lasso!)

...and let's get started on the quest to discover that perfect part of you--
the woman you were always meant to be!
I'm all in!

WHAT MY CLIENTS ARE SAYING

Desiree M.

I hired Sandra to help me work through some challenging situations in my life. Through her coaching, I gave myself permission to be me‚Äďand therefore, to live my life the way I want to rather than living for other people. It hasn‚Äôt been easy, but it has been one of the most rewarding experiences of my life. Thank you, Sandra!

Karyn C.

Sandra rephrased my own words to give back to me in such a simple way that stopped me in my tracks and helped me see the fallacies in my thinking faster than any argument or debate I could have ever had...She is a talented coach and well worth it. I was worth it! I'm thankful for her understanding and commitment.

Hi...I'm Sandra!

And if you're here, I'm betting some of these might resonate:

  • Your life was built around a belief system filled with lies.
  • You¬†were never taught how to make decisions or solve problems without help from "on high."
  • You love your family but wish you'd made different decisions before bringing a bunch of kids into the world.
  • Your friendships were all tied to your faith community, and now they feel forced--and you feel lonely.
  • You have no idea how to¬†put nosey friends and family in their place without being rude.
  • You don't want to care what other people think of you--but in the back of your mind, it's still a major concern.
  • You have all kinds of options that were never available before--which is exciting AND a little overwhelming!
  • You're happier than ever...but somehow, still miserable.
The truth is, your identity was completely wrapped up in the church, and you're not sure who you are without it.
Now that you're moving on...

It's time to say hello to the new you...

the woman with ultimate authority in your life.

But first, close your eyes and picture this:
  • You wake up one morning and realize you've lost track of the days. It's Sunday and you didn't even know it!
  • You know exactly how you want to spend your day, and your plan feels good!
  • You get up and get dressed, confident in each decision you face, from what you'll wear to telling your husband "not now."
  • You know your values and feel good about the life you're building for your family. It's¬†different than what you may have chosen without the church, but you're happy with what you've created.¬†
  • You take time each day to tune into your intuition and take care of yourself --because you know that you're the most important person in your life.
  • And when things don't go exactly as planned...it's okay. You no longer struggle with bitterness, anger, frustration, and resentment because you know that feelings aren't a struggle. They're just part of the human experience!
  • You know who you are. You like the woman you've become. And for the first time in your life, you're truly happy.
You practice living joyfully every single day-- just because you can!

That's what coaching can do for you!

Leaving the church is one of the hardest things you'll ever do. But once you make the decision to leave, the real work begins. Common issues we address in coaching include:

  • Handling rejection from¬†people who are still in the church
  • Finding¬†friends as an adult (because you never had to do that as a member of the church!)
  • Learning to love your body and reclaim your sensual, sexual self
  • Understanding the messages of your emotions¬†and what they are trying to convey
  • Allowing yourself to feel--rather than burying your¬†"bad" emotions
  • Managing¬†family relationships so you don't dread every¬†invitation to dinner with the family
  • Learning to love the life you have, even if it's not the life you would have chosen¬†
  • Reclaiming your "SACRED SELF" -- Self-trust, self-compassion, self-love, self-worth, self-identity, self-acceptance, self-confidence (I'm sure I missed something in that list!)
  • Having difficult conversations AND standing up for your beliefs
  • Building your muscle for believing on purpose so you can let go of beliefs that are no longer serving you and adopt new ones on purpose
  • Developing¬†courage and confidence to communicate with important people about your faith transition
  • Dealing with estrangement from adult children or other family members because of differing opinions or¬†past mistakes¬†
  • Overcoming perfectionism and people-pleasing
  • Creating clarity, purpose, and emotional resilience to help you navigate life after leaving the church
  • And so much more!
